Most cats are able to effectively groom themselves and do not need nor want any help in this endeavor.

However, there are some cats that need a little help with grooming either regularly or from time to time.

I recently graduated from the University of Florida of Veterinarian Medicine (Go Gators! 🐊) and have been practicing as a small animal/ integrative medicine veterinarian in the Tampa Bay area ever since.

Did you know that outdoor cats can live just as long as indoor cats? Pretty amazing, right?! As long as an outdoor cat has a caretaker, they can live into their teens.

Lilac or lavender cats are not purple as their name indicates, but it is a very light color, almost dusty.

Tortoiseshell cats or torties have gorgeous orange and black coats that demand attention.

Aggression in cats is one of the most complicated behaviors to understand, because it can mean the cat feels the need to defend itself or it’s just scared and putting up a front.

You may have noticed your cat acting strange, being excessively vocal, or acting more affectionate than usual. If your cat is not spayed, it could mean they are in heat.

It’s a commonly held belief that cats don’t like water, unless they’re drinking it. And if you’ve ever tried to bathe your cat, you likely agree with this statement.

Have you ever seen a cat that looks like its face was split down the middle? Like half of its face looks one way, and the other half looks like a different cat?

Fleas certainly are pesky little bugs. Even though they are very little, they can wreak so much havoc for both your cat and you.

Just like everything else with the domestic cat, measuring intelligence is complicated. Why? Because animal intelligence is measured in a variety of different ways.
